Millefiori is an Italian word meaning “thousand flowers.” Come and play with some ancient glass techniques and bring them to the present day. We will be using Millefiori slices called murrini. Although this was developed in Egypt, it is now identified with Venice. We will create frames and enclose frit and these murrini into amazing creations of jewelry. This class can be mixed and matched with all kinds of other techniques. The sky is the limit. It can also be enlarged to be made into plates, sculptures and even triptychs. This is an awesome technique and will help grow your repetoire in the glass world.
