Silo Glass Studio and Gallery is offering Open Studio hours for experienced fusers (or Fusing 101 equivalent). Now selling glass, supplies, and tools. Come play in the studio, use our composition/classroom workspace with basic tools and supplies. Chester or Elissa will be around to assist you. Firing and cold shop are separate. Composition area is $6 an hour (1/2 hour minimum) or if you are working on something from one of the classes, it is free.
Materials- Bring or purchase your glass and accessory glass (frit, stringers, dichro, etc.) as these items are not included. Scrap glass is sold by the pound in the studio. All glass is 90 COE.
Tools include: cutter, L square, breaker, grozing pliers, pencil, pen, sharpie, ruler, scoop, brush and tweezers. Also use of a small grinder.
Open Studio $6 per hour (1/2 hour minimum)
You can bring Bullseye COE 90 fusing glass or buy glass from us. Only fusing glass in our kilns, no bottles or glass from unknown sources. Kilns will be loaded and programmed by a staff member.
Rent Kiln space, for standard firing schedules

20″x 40″ (Full Kiln) – $75 / firing
Prerequisites: You have taken fusing 101, be fully trained on using the equipment, and signed a waiver. Please refer to Studio policies for more information about safety and what to wear.
Cold working is $20 an hour (1/5 hour minimum)
You can now make items by "Project", that cost includes glass (there may be an up-charge for premium glass) firing, and studio time. No techniques are taught during Open Studio, therefore, you must have the knowledge and skill necessary to complete your project.
